CSN Digital Media
CSN Digital Media is the Nampa School District's professional technical program dedicated to Digital Media Production and Broadcasting. Housed at Columbia High School and administered through the Idaho Center of Advanced Technology we serve students from the district's 3 high schools.
Our goal is that our students leave our program familiar with all aspects of pre-production, production and post production and ready for entry level employment. We do 2 live to tape shows a day and are responsible for sports highlight videos for all three schools as well as special projects such as "Every 15 Minutes". All our broadcasts consist entirely of student produced material, opens, breaks, PSAs and closes. We believe that the client relationship is vital to any business endeavor and beginning in Fundamentals of Broadcasting students learn to work with a client, Junior and Senior students will seek out an 'outside' client for all their projects--this means they work to our technical specifications and to client creative and informational demands.
Our Students compete in both SkillsUSA and Business Professionals of America competition. We are SkillsUSA State Champions in Television (Video) Production from 2005 -- 2011 and again in 2013 & 2014. We were SkillsUSA National Champions in 2009.
